About Off The Back
Off The Back began in New Zealand in 2007 as three friends with a passion, an idea, and a mission - to provide customers with the best online deals every day. Since then, the business has grown to meet demands and expanded into Australia in late 2010.
Each morning, three new and exciting deals become available on our website from 9.00am. These deals are available for 24 hours or until they sell out!
We sell almost anything, searching far afield for the best deals. In the past we've sold everything from digital cameras to confectionary, at discounts of up to 90% off the recommended retail price!
Behind the computer screens we're a tight team who work hard to bring you a fantastic online shopping experience and we pride ourselves on putting our customers first.
How do we do it? It’s simple really - we cut out the middle man by bringing our deals direct from the manufacturer to our customers, we buy in bulk, and we avoid overheads by having our store located in cyber-space.

James Hanafin
Founder and Director
James does a bit of everything from sourcing products to having mysterious long meetings, keeping the rest of the team in line and even writing the occasional description...except for when he’s ski-ing of course.
Robert Coleman
Founder and Director
What doesn’t Robert do? That’s the real question. He seems to be at work most of the time, busy overseeing development, organising shipping, and keeping the accounts in check. Not surprisingly he has a caffeine addiction as a result.
Daniel Fone
eCommerce Architect
Daniel managed the construction of the new Off The Back website and is the go-to guy for all things website related. He’s constantly improving the way we do business online. He’s also constantly improving the standards of coffee in the office.
Letitia Pearcy
Product Manager
Letitia’s days are spent scouring the globe for our next three deals. She’s so busy on the phone beating down our suppliers prices that she practically lives at her desk. She keeps a supply of cup-a-soups on hand which could rival the stock on most supermarket shelves.
Hannah McKnight
Customer Services and Communications Manager
Hannah is a people person. She’s all about making things better for our customers. She manages the help-desk, Facebook and Twitter and comes up with all sorts of crazy plans for promotions, competitions and giveaways. Sometimes she gets a bit too enthusiastic and distracts the rest of the office with her ideas!
