Questions Asked In Today’s 1-Day.co.nz 2010 Marketing Survey

by Sheldon Nesdale on 10 February 2010

If you get daily deal notifications from 1-day.co.nz then you just got an invitation to participate in their 2010 Marketing Survey.

Their are 17 questions in total.

Two stuck out for me in particular:

1) "How much money would you spend on YOURSELF, per week, excluding basic living expenses such as food, rent, power, petrol etc?"

That is a very personal question, don't you think?

2) "Pick up to 5 categories that interest you the most at discounted prices? Check any that apply"

Here are the answers provided:

  • Grocery items / Food
  • Electronics
  • Books
  • Travel
  • Alcohol
  • Clothing
  • Music
  • Sports
  • Cosmetics / Perfume
  • Homewares
  • Baby Gear
  • Jewellery / Watches
  • Toys
  • Fishing
  • Pets
  • Other, please specify

I know about 15 websites that would love to get their hands on the results from that question :)

I answered that survey for the sole purpose of answering the very last question – giving them a rating. I gave them a “0″ for “you suck”. I then went on into the comments section and coping the last email I sent them that they never replied to – about the fact that THREE items from their crap-a-thon never showed up. They only refunded AFTER I queried their whereabouts over 2wks after they had been due to arrive. They included a bluetooth headset, Leatherman, and slotcar set. I will NEVER again shop with 1-Day and 3Deals has already received my business since. I know they’re probably the biggest – but they’re definitely not the best when I personally had 3 screw ups in a week and the first time I’d ever ordered from them was on Boxing day 2009.
